Group lessons

What kind of lessons do you offer?

We have lessons for everyone! From children aged 3 and up to adults. No matter if you've never set foot on skis or you are an advaced skier you can find all courses here on our webiste.
In addition, we offer snowboard and cross-country ski lessons too.

Where is the meeting point?

The meeting point is located next to our office at the top station of the Buffaure cable car, for both private and group lessons. All participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied to, and picked up from, the meeting point at the top station.

How many people are in each group?

Groups generally consist of approximately ten participants. We make every effort to form groups with the most homogeneous level possible, ensuring that our ski instructors can deliver structured, methodical, and effective lessons.

What happens if there are not enough participants to form the group?

If the number of participants is insufficient, lesson hours will be progressively reduced as indicated in our Terms and Conditions of Sale. Should this not be feasible, the course will be converted into private lessons.

Is it possible to book a group lesson with a specific instructor?

It is not possible to choose an instructor in advance. Instructors are assigned to the various groups at the beginning of the course, according to the organisational needs of the school.

How are the groups formed?

At the start of each course, a level assessment is carried out (both for adults and children) to evaluate each participant’s skiing ability and assign them to the appropriate group.

How can I book?

We strongly recommend booking online in advance through our dedicated booking page. Availability cannot be guaranteed for bookings made on site.

Do you have any partnerships with hotels, apartments, or campsites?

We have arrangements with certain campsites and selected accommodation facilities during specific periods. Upon request, we can consider agreements for groups.

Do I need to pay in advance?

Yes. All group lessons booked online must be paid in advance; otherwise, the booking will not be considered valid and the place in the course will not be guaranteed.

How can I pay?

For advance bookings and online payments, only credit cards and prepaid cards are accepted. At our offices (located both in Pozza di Fassa and at top stations of the Buffaure cable car) payment can be made by card or cash. Bank transfers are not accepted.

Is lunch included?

Meals are included only where explicitly stated.

Is equipment included?

No, equipment is not included.

Is the skipass included?

No, the skipass is not included.

Which skipass do I need?

  • For beginners, we recommend a beginner skipass on the first day.
  • For subsequent lessons, please follow the instructor’s indications.
  • For intermediate and advanced skiers, a Val di Fassa skipass is sufficient.
  • For Full Day group lesson, Dolomiti Superski skipass is required.

Is a helmet mandatory?

Yes. The use of an approved ski helmet is compulsory for anyone accessing the slopes with equipment.

Is there an end-of-course competition for children?

Yes, except during the Christmas period. All children’s courses include a small competition on Friday morning, followed by an awards ceremony at the end of the day.

Do the course days need to be consecutive?

Yes. Consecutive attendance ensures that the group progresses together and that learning takes place steadily from day to day.

Can I attend fewer days than the full course duration?

This may be possible in certain cases. Please contact us at info@vajolet.it for further information.

What happens if I get injured during the lesson?

A medical insurance covering first-aid expenses is included in the price of the lesson.

What happens if I fall ill or get injured outside the lesson time?

All situations are handled as specified in our General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Winter sports take place outdoors in the fresh mountain air. For us, there is no bad weather—only the wrong clothing. Skiing in snowfall can often be even more enjoyable than in sunshine. Lessons are therefore neither refunded nor rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions. In the event of lift closures, lessons will not be refunded but rescheduled, potentially in other ski areas designated by the school.

Do I need insurance?

  • All participants are covered by our medical insurance for first-aid expenses.
  • Third-party liability insurance has been mandatory for all skiers since 2021 and is not included in the lessons; it must be arranged independently.
  •  We also recommend a travel insurance policy to cover any unforeseen events or cancellations (e.g., inability to depart).

Private lessons

Where is the meeting point?
The meeting point is located next to our office at the top station of the Buffaure cable car, for both private and group lessons. All participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied to, and picked up from, the meeting point at the top station.
Is it possible to have lessons with more than one participant?

Yes, provided that all participants have the same technical level. Otherwise, the instructor will not be able to teach everyone effectively.

Can adults and children take a private lesson together?

No. We do not allow mixed adult-and-child private lessons. Teaching methods differ significantly in terms of approach, explanation, and learning pace, so separate lessons are strongly recommended.

Can I choose my instructor?

Yes, certainly. You may request your preferred instructor at the time of booking, subject to availability.

In which languages are private lessons available?

In addition to Italian, we offer lessons in English, German, Spanish, French, and Russian. If you are feeling adventurous, you can even try a lesson in Ladin, our local language!

Skiing or snowboarding—what is better for beginners?

Both disciplines are perfectly suitable for first-time learners. Simply choose the one that inspires you most.

How many lessons do I need to learn the basics?

This varies from person to person, depending on individual aptitude. Generally, the fundamentals can be learned within approximately three hours of lessons.

How long does a private lesson last?

A lesson lasts 55 minutes. You may, of course, book multiple consecutive hours for a more immersive experience.

How can I book?

We recommend booking in advance by sending an email to info@vajolet.it. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the availability of private lessons for on-site bookings, especially if you wish to request a specific instructor.

Do you have any partnerships with hotels, apartments, or campsites?

No, we do not offer any partnerships or discounts for private lessons.

Do I need to pay in advance?

Yes. To confirm your booking, full payment in advance is required, in accordance with the arrangements made with our office.
