Group courses

Which group courses are available?

We have every kind of group courses available! From 3 years old kids to adults, for those who never tried skiing to pros, and, of course, ski, snowboard and crosscountry, you can find every available course at Christmas courses

Where are the meeting points?

We have 2 different meeting points: advanced and intermediate meet at the arrival of the Buffaure gondola, beginners meet at Fraine ski school camp.
New 2020: a new school camp at Buffaure! We are organizing a beginner course at Buffaure too!

How many people are in a group?

Groups are made from 5 to 10 people. We do our best to divide people in groups to be the most homogeneous as possible, in order to have a well-structured lesson.

What happens if there aren’t enough people?

If participants are less than 5 per group, we’ll try to reduce the hours of lesson, in order to begin the group course in any way. If that is not possible, lessons will be converted into individual or refunded.

Is it possible to choose the instructor for the group?

Unfortunately no, instructors are assigned to groups at the selection on the first day of course.

How are groups made?

At the beginning an on-snow selection is made (for both adults and kids), in order to understand you real ski level. Then, the instructors will decide in which group you belong.

How can I book?

We strongly suggest you to book in advance online at book online. Unfortunately we cannot assure you availability if you are going to book when you arrive.

Do you have any discount for hotel/apartment/camping guests?

During Christmas holidays, we do not have any active discount.

Do I have to pay in advance?

Group courses online must be paid in advance, otherwise the reservation will not be considered valid.

How can I pay?

We accept every kind of payment (credit card or bank transfer only if you book online).

Is lunch included?

No, lunch is not include. We have some agreements with local lodges though, so we kindly ask to give your kid € 10 for lunch.

Is equipment included?

No, equipment is not included.

Is skipass included?

No, skipass is not included.

Which kind of skipass should I buy?

For beginners, we suggest to ask directly to your instructor which kind of skipass you’ll need every day.
For intermediate and advanced, the Val di Fassa skipass is enough.
For Full Day course the Dolomiti Superski skipass is required.

Is the helmet mandatory?

The helmet is always advised, while kids under 14 must wear it.

Is there a final race?

Unfortunately not during Christmas holidays, due to the great number of tourists, we are not permitted to organize a final race.

Do days of group courses have to be consecutive?

Days must be consecutive in order to let the group can advance together and go on with the weekly schedule.

Can I do less days?

Unfortunately no, during Christmas holidays group courses are .

What happens if I get injured during the lesson?

We hope nothing happens to you of course, we have an active insurance included in the lesson price, though.

What happens if I get sick or injured outside of the lesson?

Group lessons can be refunded in case of injuries or sickness, from the day after you present a medical certificate, issued by a local doctor.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Winter sports are practised outside. For us, there is no bad weather, just wrong clothing. Usually when it snows, skiing becomes even more funny.
Lessons will take place with every weather condition, that’s why lessons won’t be refunded or moved to another day.
For ski-lifts closures instead, lessons will be rescheduled, if possible.

Individual lessons

Where are the meeting points?

We have 2 different meeting points: at the arrival of Buffaure gondola for intermediate and advanced and at Fraine ski school camp for beginners.
New 2020: a new school camp at Buffaure! Now even beginners can take lessons on Buffaure!

Is it possible to have a lesson with more participants?

Absolutely! We suggest though, every participant should have the same skiing level, otherwise the instructor won’t be able to follow you all equally.

Can I take a lesson together with my kid?

We strongly suggest you not to: teaching kids is different to teaching adults indeed and the instructor will be in great difficulty to interafce with both of you.

Can I choose the instructor?

Of course, ask us the avaibility of your favorite instructor during the booking.

Which languages do your instructors speak?

Lessons are available in English, German, Spanish, French, Russian and Italian of course. You can even try to speak Ladin, the local language, if you want to!

Ski or snowboard? What is the best to begin with?

It’s completely indifferent with which discipline you’d like to start, your choice: which one inspires you most?

How many hours do I need to learn?

Unfortunately that is very personal and depends on your attitude, we can generally say that you can learn the fundamentals in 3 hours of lesson.

How long does a lesson last?

One hour of lesson lasts 55 minutes. You can of course take more consecutive hours, in order to have a more immersive experience.

How can I book?

We strongly suggest you to book in advance online, sending us an email to [email protected]. Unfortunately, we cannot assure you the availability if you book at your arrival, moreover if you want a specific instructor, or language.

Do you have any discount for hotel/apartment/camping guests?

No, we do not have any discount for individual lessons.

Do I have to pay in advance?

In order to confirm your individual lesson reservation, we require a 50% deposit of the entire amount and the balance payment within the first day of lessons (or a 100% deposit if only one hour/day is requested).

How can I pay?

The refund will only include the injured/sick person, every other person included in the booking will not be refunded.

Covid-19

I booked a group course/individual lesson, but I got sick. What can I do?

We are so sorry to hear that, we kindly ask you to write an email to [email protected] ASAP.
If you want a refund, we kindly ask you to send us a medical certificate of solitary confinement.
Or you can choose to get a voucher of the same value, that you can use until the end of the season!
