Nordic Walking is a new sporting discipline that comes
from Finland. It consists of walking with sticks that have
been specially developed for this sport, and offers an easy,
natural and very effective way to improve your physical
condition and to tone body muscles, independently of your
age, sex or physical fitness. What’s more, it’s
fun, relaxing and inexpensive. In Nordic Walking you use
around 90% of your body muscles, without putting excessive
strain on joints, and with all the benefits that a complete
workout of this kind brings. In the three levels of Nordic
Walking - wellness, fitness and sport – each person
finds his or her own level of ability and the exercises
suitable for his or her own physical condition. You can
take a quiet, therapeutic walk, do a good aerobic workout,
or carry out specific exercises for athletes. Further information

Nordic Walking sticks are included in the price. The instructors
are ANWI certified. The Vajolet ski school collaborates
with the Val di Fassa Tourist Promotion Agency.

During the summer months, the Pozza di Fassa ski school
collaborates with the Val di Fassa alpine guides. The Vajolet
Ski School office, in fact, is transformed in the summer
into the office of the alpine guides.
Fassa Alpine Guides have been walking over and exploring
every corner of the Dolomites for over a hundred years,
understanding all their secrets, in order to put experience
and professionalism at the service of anyone who would like
to have a taste of and get to know the mountains in their
many aspects, from simple walks to the most difficult climbs,
and from ski mountaineering trips to climbing on ice. This
program was created by the DOLOMITI Alpine Guides Group
to supply a synthetic guide to the many activities that
the Dolomites can offer enthusiasts, guaranteeing them an
unforgettable stay at any season of the year, in close contact

| BUFFAURE EXCURSIONS CENTRE |
The Buffaure excursions area offers lots of excursions,
from very simple ones to really difficult ones. One of the
most popular walks is that along the Val San Nicolò
- one of the easiest in the Val di Fassa. But if you want
to appreciate the sights of the Dolomite landscape, you
have to take the new gondola skilift and go up to the Buffaure
area. As well as enjoying the scenery of the Catinaccio
or the Monzoni Group, you can go on a series of excursions.
The path towards the Ciampac through the Val Jiumela, or
continuing towards the San Nicolò pass and then downhill,
or towards the Contrin, is well worth trying. A visit to
the south face of the Marmolada is fascinating, as are all
the Dolomite peaks that can be seen from up there. Those
who want to investigate all the opportunities for excursions
can consult the website www.dolomitinetwork.com
on the summer pages for excursions in Val di Fassa.
